Sisun Song
Exhibition Director Curator / Artist Sisun Song is an art curator and an artist. Following her BFA in Fine Arts from Kyunggi University in Korea, she relocated to the USA to continue studying and received a BFA degree in fine art from School of Visual Arts and an MA in Studio Art from New York University. From 2003 to 2009, she worked for Mushroom Arts a not-for-profit art organization in the Chelsea district of New York City. She curated numerous national and international exhibitions focusing on emerging artists which have garnered curatorial and critical attention in the international art world. After that, she worked as a gallery director at Yegam Art Space located in Queens, New York until 2013. She organized a variety of art and cultural events as well as exhibitions for the local community. Studying and gaining experience with art industry professionals, she has honed her curatorial eye and developed a deep passion for the art world. Recently, her professional art career has been featured in the book, Project New York ; 20 Exceptional Creator's Stories, published by Art Books in Korea. |
